Cosco Container Lines will implement a general rate increase for all shipments from northwestern Europe and the Mediterranean to the Far East and India and Pakistan region, effective March 1. The hike will be $200 per 20-foot container and $400 per 40-foot container.
The carrier also announced an emergency peak-season surcharge for all shipments from Asia to northwestern Europe and the Mediterranean, effective Jan. 30, until further notice. The surcharge will be $225 per 20-foot container.
