Cosco christens new container ship for North Europe Express Service 3.Cosco Group recently held a christening ceremony for its new container ship, the Cosco Belgium, at Nantong Cosco KHI Ship Engineering in China.
Yunpeng Li, executive vice president of Cosco Group; Min Wan, manager director of Cosco; Ping Gao, secretary of the party committee of Cosco; Nobumitsu Kambayashi, senior executive vice president of Kawasaki Shipbuilding Company; Aijun Huang, vice mayor of Nantong’s municipal government; Chengmin Han, president of NACKS; and 150 other guests attended the ceremony.
The Cosco Belgium is the first of a series of eight 13,386-TEU container ships being built for Cosco by NACKS. It will be deployed on the Cosco-CKYH Alliance joint North Europe Express Service 3.
