Caribbean Carrier Group Sets Congestion Surcharge

The member carriers of the Caribbean Shipowners Association will implement a port congestion surcharge for all full container load shipments moving between the continental U.S. and St. John’s, Antigua, starting March 31.

The surcharge will be $100 per 20-foot container, $200 per 40-foot container and $225 per container greater than 40 feet.

Member carriers include CMA CGM, Seaboard Marine and Tropical Shipping.
