Higher intra-Asia and Asia-Europe volumes drove the increase, NOL said while blaming the decline in average revenue per FEU mainly on falling Asia-Europe rates and a changing cargo mix associated with higher intra-Asia volumes.
Through April 8, APL’s container volume totaled 764,000, up 9 percent from a year earlier, while average revenue rose 3 percent to $2,598.
