Sebastio Caboto vessel, the first of four to be delivered to Alianca.Ocean container carrier Alianca has received delivery of the first of four identical vessels to be deployed in its Brazilian coastal service.
Sebastio Caboto, with a capacity of 3,800 20-foot-equivalent units and 500 plugs for refrigerated containers, is scheduled to arrive in Brazil to start the import process in mid-February. The remaining three vessels will be phased in during the course of 2013.
The four vessels represent an investment of more than BRL$450 million (about US$226.5 million).
