Transite Aggregates 3PL Freight Rates

My Freight Rates enables brokers, shippers to access rates in real-time

Transite, a transportation management technology company, launched a service which aggregates the best rates from numerous 3PLs. My Freight Rates enables brokers and shippers to access rates in real-time.

"This delivers the absolute lowest rates to brokers and shippers while driving revenue for our 3PL partners," said Geoff Comrie, CEO of Transite. "While this is clearly a service to the industry, it's fundamentally driven and made possible by Transite's core technology."

Here is how My Freight Rates works: When a broker or shipper needs a price, they access My Freight Rates for the lowest per shipment charges culled from various 3PLs. Transite's "AggreRater" technology mines all 3PL data in real-time and then identifies the least expensive prices for the broker or shipper. Transite's My Freight Rates will be formally launched at the 31st TIA Annual Convention & Trade Show, April 1-4, 2009 in San Antonio.

"3PLs have another source of revenue, and brokers and shippers get low prices in a simple, easy manner," Comrie said. "We have yet to do aggressive marketing but we already have participation from 3PLs such as Access America Transport, Custom Logistics and others."
