Supply chain tech firm gains 55 percent in Europe, Middle East, Africa

RedPrairie, a company that provides supply chain optimization technology, enjoyed the twentieth consecutive year of growth in Europe, the Middle East and Africa in 2008.

Providing more evidence technology firms are out of step with transport companies when it comes to growth, the company achieved record revenue of $85 million, or 55 percent higher than in 2007. The surge suggests shippers are turning to them.

Highlights for RedPrairie in the region included increased investment in France, expansion of its transportation management team, and its new value-added reseller (VAR) partnerships with Beta 80 in Italy and Hit Kody in Poland.

The company signed contracts or extended relationships with over 60 new and existing customers in the region, including Adnams, Belspeed, Bring Logistics, Carphone Warehouse, Davies Turner, Delhaize Group, Garland Logistica, NFT and Teva UK. More than 250 companies now run RedPrairie software at a total of 6,000 sites in 30 countries across the region.
