Adds services to dealers from Mopar parts distribution center in St. Louis

Exel will provide dedicated delivery services to dealers from Chrysler’s Mopar parts distribution center in St. Louis, the North American supply chain management subsidiary of Deutsche Post DHL announced Thursday.

Mopar is the original equipment parts manufacturer and distributor for Chrysler.

Exel will deliver Mopar parts to Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge dealers in Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky. In addition, Exel’s services will include packing parts into protective containers and loading trailers.

Exel’s centralized delivery service support team utilizes a suite of proprietary fleet technology solutions — such as electronic proof-of-delivery, wireless communications and scheduling applications — in addition to effective fleet management to drive efficiencies and optimize delivery routes.

“We have worked with Chrysler for more than 20 years to provide dedicated delivery solutions, and we look forward to serving the St. Louis operation,” said John Aben, Exel’s director of business development for the automotive industry. “We’re also proud to be providing packing and loading services to Chrysler for the first time in our long relationship.”

Exel provides dedicated delivery services to seven Mopar PDCs in the United States.
