‘Go for Growth’ strategy spurs hiring 200 logistics specialists

DB Schenker launched a program to bolster growth in its contract logistics business unit through additional employees and improved industrial standards.

The global transport and logistics company plans to hire up to 200 additional logistics specialists for its “Go for Growth” program and to invest in standardized logistics and industrial processes with a focus on the automotive, consumer, electronics industries and mid-sized machine makers in defined regions. The main target countries are the United States, Germany and China.

“We’re making a clear commitment to our customers to provide them with higher quality customer care and support, stable processes, solutions and technical investments for their logistics projects,” said Detlef Trefzger, member of the management board of Schenker AG responsible for contract logistics/SCM. “The aim of the program is to grow the company at a significantly faster pace than the market.”
