CSCMP Chair, Robert Silverman names chairs to 2009-2010 board of directors

Members of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals elected officers and appointed chairs to the group’s 2009-2010 board of directors during the annual business meeting held Sept. 22. The meeting was held in conjunction with CSCMP’s 2009 Annual Global Conference in Chicago, Illinois.

Robert B. Silverman, vice president, IT business systems for Tommy Hilfiger USA, Inc., was elected to the office of Chair.

Roger W. Woody, executive lecturer and director supply chain management external development for the School of Business at the University of Kansas, and founding partner of Performance Consultants, LLC, was named to the office of Immediate Past Chair.

Keith Turner, general manager, alumina and bauxite sales for ALCOA, Inc. and a 15-plus year CSCMP member, was elected to the office of Board Chair Elect.

Nancy W. Nix, executive director, EMBA Program and associate professor of supply chain practice at the MJ Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University (TCU), was elected to the office of Board Vice-Chair.

Rick Jackson, executive vice president, Limited Logistics Services, was elected to the office of Secretary and Treasurer.

Immediately after the election, CSCMP Chair, Robert Silverman, announced the appointment of the remaining chairs that complete the 2009-2010 board of directors slate.

Remko van Hoek, chief procurement officer, Cofely the Netherlands and visiting professor, Cranfield School of Management, was named Planning Chair; Erika Roberts, director, corporate development for LeanCor LLC,—Roundtable Chair; Susan Rider, president of Rider & Associates—Marketing Chair; Jan Willem Proper, associate professor, NHTV Breda University of Applied Sciences—Membership Chair; and John A. Caltagirone, vice president of global supply chain strategy at The Revere Group—Program Chair.

Chris Moberg, Chair Marketing Department at Ohio University and Theodore Stank, John H. Dove Distinguished Professor of Logistics at The University of Tennessee were each named to the position of Education Strategies Co-Chair.

Susan Oaks, vice president and partner, A.T. Kearney, Inc., and Eric Peltz, director, Military Logistics Program and the Supply Chain Policy Center at RAND Corporation were each named to the position of Research Strategies Co-Chair.

Sarah Giffin, senior operations improvement manager at CEVA Logistics, Mary Long, director collaborative supply chain solutions at Campbell Soup Company, and Kevin Smith, president and CEO of Sustainable Supply Chain Consulting, were each named Chair at Large.
