Choice Logistics Establishes Regional Hub in Dubai

The Journal of Commerce Online - News Story
Improves efficiency, cuts costs for mission-critical service parts

New York-based courier Choice Logistics will expand its forward stocking location in Dubai to establish a full service regional hub as client needs grow in the Middle East.

The new hub will serve as a primary gateway for the Middle East, providing more efficient access for service parts at a lower cost, the company said.

Choice will be able to act as importer of record on behalf of clients shipping to and from the hub, to coordinate fulfillment and shipment of high-tech spares. The site allows parts to be shipped into surrounding countries, such as Saudi Arabia, in just two days rather than 25 days when shipped from Europe.

“The Middle East can be a challenging and expensive operating environment from a logistical standpoint,” said Luisella Basso, senior manager for global trade compliance at Choice. “The Dubai location provides a more efficient entry point to manage and distribute mission-critical service parts throughout the region. Choice is committed to identifying proactive solutions that help improve our clients’ ability to better serve their customers. This move is in direct response to their pressing needs for more efficiency and reduced costs.”

One of seven United Arab Emirates, Dubai is a member of the Gulf Corporation Council, which has established trade agreements among its membership including Bahrain, Kuwait, Quatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and the rest of the UAE (Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm al-Quwain, Ras al-Khaimah and Fujairah).

Choice Logistics provides outsourced service parts logistics services for mission-critical, global service organizations and plans additional growth in the Middle East.
