
Third-party logistics provider C.H. Robinson Worldwide opened an office in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam, and will use it as a launching point for further expansion in Southeast Asia.
The Vietnam office will specialize in air and ocean transportation, distribution, consolidation, and logistics services for the region, according to the company. C.H. Robinson has 18 offices in Asia, including China, Hong Kong, India, and Singapore.
"Despite the challenging economic environment, the Vietnam economy is growing rapidly," said Jeff Scovill, C.H. Robinson vice president of global forwarding.
"Over the past three years, our business has grown substantially in this market. There continues to be tremendous opportunities as companies explore markets outside of China for manufacturing."
