Provider teams with DynCorp, CH2M HILL on large contract as military buildup grows

Logistics provider Agility's defense and government services division will team with DynCorp International and CH2M HILL for military logistics support for southern Afghanistan under a contract worth $643.5 million.

The Kuwait-based provider of logistics services, said the contract includes four one-year option periods with a total evaluated value of $5.9 billion.

DynCorp International, a U.S.-based private military contractor, is the prime contractor on the LOGCAP IV team, and Agility DGS and CH2M HILL are subcontractors.

The contract award comes in the midst of a large U.S. military effort seeking to gains by the Taliban in southern Afghanistan.

The team will provide existing military bases within the military's Afghanistan South area of responsibility with facilities management, electrical power, water, sewage and waste management, laundry operations, food services and transportation motor pool operations. The team will also provide construction services for additional sites, as well as a range of logistics support services in Kuwait, such as movement-control operations, in-transit logistics management, facilities management, including base camp services, life support and operations and maintenance.

“Our end-to-end supply chain and logistics capabilities combined with Agility’s global assets and risk tolerance is well-suited to meet the significant requirements of the LOGCAP IV program,” said Dan Mongeon, president and CEO of Agility Defense and Government Services.
