KN Drinks awarded business by Imperial Brands
JERSEY CITY, N.J. – February 22, 2012 – Imperial Brands Inc., importer and marketer of distinctive spirits, has chosen Kuehne + Nagel to manage its Seafreight requirements from Poland to the United States. Kuehne + Nagel branches in Gdynia, Poland and Orlando, Florida will handle all finished goods imports.
Imperial Brands sold over 1 million cases of it’s Sobieski-brand vodka in the US in 2011, making it the fastest selling product in its class. A cost effective supply chain helps maintain cost margins and Imperial Brand’s company position that its premium products are available at a reasonable price.
Kuehne + Nagel sea logistics solutions will provide consistent transit times with high levels of service. Imperial Brands works with very tight lead times and limited services out of Poland, so it was imperative for them to match the right service level with the right rate. The company will leverage KN Login, Kuehne + Nagel’s web-based visibility, monitoring and reporting application which will immensely assist in managing its supply chain.
