Kenco Appoints Deni Albrecht Leader of Sustainability

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — March 23, 2011 (James Street Media Services)—Kenco, a leading provider of logistics, transportation, real estate services, and material handling equipment, has announced the executive promotion of Deni Albrecht to leader of sustainability. His previous title was senior logistics engineer for Kenco Management Services.

According to Gary Mayfield, Kenco CEO, “We selected Deni to be the sustainability champion for the entire Kenco family of companies based on his established leadership in this key aspect of our company. He will continue the development of our comprehensive sustainability program.”

Albrecht joined Kenco in 2008, leading initiatives that include work measurement development and implementation, site optimization modeling, operations audits, process mapping, value stream mapping, entitlement, energy efficiency measurements, process design, best methods development, ROI analysis, regression testing, space planning, equipment specification and warehouse layout. Prior to joining Kenco, Albrecht’s experience included active duty in the US Navy Nuclear Power Program until 1989, when he transferred to the Navy Reserve and worked for local heavy machine manufacturers as a manufacturing methods engineer, machine design engineer and engineering manager.

“I am delighted to support Kenco’s sustainability mission to assist customers in achieving their economic, environmental, and social responsibility goals,” Albrecht says. “This position is a rewarding combination of my professional and personal interests.”

He holds an A.S. degree in mechanical engineering; is a graduate of the Navy Nuclear Power and several other advanced military leadership and technical schools; is a senior member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers; has undergone Lean Six Sigma (LSS) training and is working toward attaining his LSS Green Belt. In his personal pursuits, Albrecht developed and built operational renewable fuel processors which provide fuel for four family vehicles.
