The Descartes Systems Group reported net income of $7.8 million for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2013, a jump of 73 percent from $4.5 million in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2012 and 152 percent from $3.1 million in the FY 2013 third quarter.
Quarterly revenue totaled $33.8 million, up 14 percent from $29.6 million in year-earlier period.
For the full fiscal year of 2013, the logistics software-as-a-service solutions provider reported profit growth of 33 percent year-over-year, from $12.0 million to $16.0 million. Annual revenue was $126.9 million, versus $114.0 million in FY 2012.
“We have a healthy, well-calibrated business as a result of our focus on customer satisfaction,” said Stephanie Ratza, chief financial officer at Descartes, in a written statement. “We continue to accelerate the cash provided by our operating activities while delivering financial results ahead of our long-term plan. This allows us to invest in areas of our business with high strategic value and growth potential.”
