UPS Opens Three Health Care Distribution Facilities in Asia-Pacific Region

United Parcel Service recently opened three new facilities in Hangzhou and Shanghai, China, and Sydney, Australia, to expand its global health care distribution facility network in the Asia-Pacific region.

The new locations, along with the existing facility in Singapore, serve multinational and regional health care manufacturers’ distribution needs across the region. They represent nearly 35,000 square meters of health care-compliant distribution space and are designed to meet the needs of pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device companies, the company said.

Asia — China in particular — is the company’s fastest growing market for health care, said Bill Hook, vice president of global strategy for UPS Healthcare Logistics.
