Alexandria, VA – April 4, 2014 – Transportation Intermediaries Association will host their revamped Great Ideas Conference and Exposition, April 9-12, 2014 in Tucson, Arizona at the JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass Resort & Spa with an emphasis on networking and sharing successful ideas with peers. TIA has reworked this Conference to make it the premiere networking event for 3PLs.

TIA has gone above and beyond to provide networking throughout the Conference with the debut of their Learning Lounges. The Lounges provide a ground breaking opportunity to gather, share ideas, and network. All presenters have been encouraged to head to the Learning Lounges following their session; to continue the conversations had during their sessions. These expansive areas will be open the entire time from Wednesday, April 9th through Saturday, April 12th.

Receptions and lunches are provided throughout the Conference to meet others in the similar situations. The Conference opens with a Newcomer’s Orientation that will provide first time attendees the opportunity to make an acquaintance to share time with throughout the Conference. The exclusive Small Company Networking reception will do the same. All will head to the Welcome Reception. The Women in Logistics Luncheon and Networking Lunch on Thursday will provide an enjoyable lunch, conversation and networking opportunities before the opening of the best trade show for brokers.

Friday will offer the opportunity to greet the Arizona morning sun with the TIA 5K Run/2K walk. Even those not participating should come out to enjoy the weather and people. Friday will give two full opportunities to collaborate and network on the Trade Show floor before it’s closing Friday night.

Lunches will continue on Saturday as the Young Executives Forum Lunch provides younger attendees, mid-40s and younger, a separate environment for building long-term industry relationships. Everyone else will be able to network at the Saturday Networking Lunch. These lunches will set the table for the closing dinner, a Cowboy Cookout BBQ on the JW Marriott’s Ania Terrace. Those that have not depleted their stack of business cards for a diverse selection from other attendees will have wasted a golden opportunity.
