Saddle Creek Logistics Services announced today that it is opening a new facility in Birmingham, Ala.
The company said in a written statement that it is investing in the new space to help one of its existing customers, a wine logistics company, to “better control its transportation costs.”
Saddle Creek will move the customer’s operations from Atlanta to Birmingham. The new operation will be housed in a 225,000-square-foot facility with food-grade, climate-controlled space and rail service.
The distribution center will be fully operational by Feb. 1.
