Roadrunner Transportation Systems has acquired Direct Connection Transportation, a non-asset refrigerated truckload provider, for $1.3 million.
Phoenix-based DCT complements Roadrunner’s existing truckload offerings and gives it an expanded presence in the U.S. Southwest.
Roadrunner said the purchase, which is in keeping with its current expansion strategy, is expected to contribute to its 2013 earnings.
