Regal Logistics recently purchased a new 120,000-square-foot distribution center in Los Angeles, close to the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, with access to Interstate 5, I-405 and I-605 and California state Route 22 and state Route 55, as well as Los Angeles, Orange County, Ontario and Long Beach airports.
The facility, expected to open for business in January 2013, is situated on 6.24 acres and features 14 dock doors, truck scale and gated yard with closed circuit security cameras, the company said. It has a 27-foot clear height and technology infrastructure, including Warehouse Management System, Electronic Data Interchange capability and online shipment tracking.
The third-party logistics provider now has a total of 1.6 million square feet of warehouse space in Los Angeles, Seattle and Charleston, S.C.
