Pacer International, Inc., has hired Paul C. Svindland to serve as chief operating officer, effective Nov. 12, 2012.
Svindland comes to Pacer from business advisory firm AlixPartners, LLP, where he served as as managing director and co-led the global transportation and logistics practice, working with carriers and shippers. Prior to AlixPartners, he worked at ICG Commerce, where he developed and led the firm’s global logistics practice. His career also includes several years in management roles with Maersk Inc.

"His deep industry knowledge and extensive experience advising transportation companies will bring valuable perspective to our executive leadership team.
