Logwin witnessed record growth on its Eastern China to Vietnam trade lane in 2012 across a range of industries.
“Our customers from industries as diverse as IT hardware, computers, furniture and garments are now moving raw materials, components through Eastern China to Vietnam for assembly,” said Tomas Sonntag, managing director of the Far East Asia region in Logwin’s Air + Ocean business segment, in a written statement. “It has become one of the larger trade lanes in intra-Asia for Logwin.”
“Manufacturers now actively look at leveraging the lower land and labor costs in Vietnam, while maintaining their core operations in the Shanghai area,” he added.
