Kerry Asia Road Transport has launched a new intra-Asia less-than-truckload service between China and Vietnam.
The twice weekly scheduled link operates between Shenzhen and Hanoi as part of the company’s ASEAN-China road network.
Logistics companies are increasingly exploring trucking links on intra-Asia routes as trade barriers are reduced and shippers seek rapid, but less costly, alternatives to air.
Kerry said it would look to expand the LTL service to other parts of Asia in the future.
“There is demand from shippers for a service that matches airfreight for transit time and is more cost effective,” said Alex Ng, General Manager of KART.
