Chicago-based Echo Global Logistics reported its profit rose 19.5 percent in 2012, climbing to $14.2 million from $11.9 million in 2011. Annual revenue was $757.7 million, increasing 25.7 percent from $602.8 million in the previous year.
The company's net income in the fourth quarter of 2012 was $3.5 million, falling 0.8 percent compared with the fourth quarter of 2011.
Quarterly revenue, however, jumped 29.7 percent year-over-year to $211.2 million.
The company expects revenue in 2013 to be in the range of $940 million to $980 million, said Doug Waggoner, CEO of Echo, in a written statement.
