DHL Opens Expanded Facility at Miami International Airport

Logistics firm DHL, part of Deutsche Post DHL, has opened an expanded 140,000 square foot airline facility at the Miami International Airport service center for shipments to and from Latin America and the Caribbean.

The facility will support long-term market growth in import and export volumes along the U.S.-Latin America trade lane, according to Ian Clough, CEO of DHL Express U.S.

At the opening ceremony, DHL also announced the recent signing of a new Global Buyer Initiative with the U.S. Department of Commerce, which supports expanding U.S. exports by matching foreign customers with U.S. suppliers.
