Freight forwarding and supply chain management company Damco will move its headquarters from Copenhagen, Denmark, to The Hague in the Netherlands in February, and will also implement several senior-level management changes.
Steffen Schiottz-Christensen became CEO of Damco’s Africa and Middle East region on Dec. 1, 2012, after having spent more than 10 years in China. He is based in Cape Town, South Africa, and succeeds Nils Havsager, who has become global chief operating officer. Havsager will be based in the premises in The Hague and replaces Peter Kjaer Jensen.
Jensen will become global chief transformation officer. He will be responsible for all information technology projects and will continue to be based in Copenhagen.
Karsten Breum, global head of human resources, has taken over the role as CEO for Damco’s Asia-Pacific region from Tony Hotine. Breum will be based in Singapore.
Marco Mingolla, the former head of HR operations with Maersk Line, succeeded Breum on Jan. 1 and is based in The Hague.
