Toronto-based SCI Logistics has acquired White Glove Transportation Systems Ltd., which provides specialized delivery and installation of specialized equipment such as bank machines and MRI equipment, Terms were not disclosed.
The unit will be rebranded as SCI White Glove Services. The acquisition will double the size of SCI’s truck fleet, said John Ferguson, president and CEO.
SCI’s primary business lines are contract logistics and transportation services. The company employs approximately 1,000 people, operates a national network of 15 distribution centers and 30 critical parts depots of over 2 million square feet and serves more than 600 customers.
