Pantos Logistics has opened a second logistics center in Indonesia to meet growing demand for domestic logistics.
Located adjacent to an existing facility in Cigarang near the capital Jakarta on a 65,000 sq ft site within Cibitung Industrial Complex, the expansion means the Korean 3PL now has some 230,000 sq ft of warehousing in close proximity to Tanjung Priok port and Jakarta International Airport.
The new facility will act as a hub for Pantos’ distribution network in Indonesia, where the company already operates its own fleet of trucks and has contracts in place to provide logistics services for Coco Cola and Korean companies POSCO and Hankook Tire.
“Indonesia enjoys the largest economy in Southeast Asia,” the company said. “The share of domestic consumption in the country’s GDP comes to more than 60%. Thus, the demand for domestic logistics operation is ever on the increase.”
