MIQ Logistics acquired British third-party logistics provider The Logistics Corporation to expand its operations in the U.K. and Europe.
The acquisition adds warehouses and retail-oriented dedicated distribution centers to MIQ Logistics’ current locations around the U.K., the company said Wednesday.
“Our agreement with TLC allows us to build on our existing strengths in serving retail customers,” said Joey Carnes, chairman and CEO of MIQ Logistics.
The value of the transaction was not disclosed.
Overland Park, Kan.-based MIQ Logistics is the former YRC Logistics, sold last August by YRC Worldwide to venture capital firm Austin Ventures for $38.7 million.
TLC is based in Rochester in southern England, where it has 35,000 square feet of warehouse space and transportation networks linking Britain and Europe.
