Pantos Logistics has won a contract to provide international rail transportation services for a General Motors joint venture in Asia.
The Korean 3PL will transport semi-knockdowns between GM’s factory in Gunsan, Korea, and Tashkent, Uzbekistan, via the Trans Siberian Railway and Trans China Railroad for GM Uzbekistan.
Pantos will also provide transport for complete knockdowns between factories in Brazil, Mexico, the United States, Canada, and Tashkent.
The contract will provide momentum for further expansion into the automotive logistics sector, according to Pantos, which already operates in 155 regions globally and has a heavy presence in the CIS countries.
