Kerry Logistics said the acquisition of its former joint venture in Spain will allow customers in the country’s poor performing economy to access more dynamic Asian markets.
The Hong Kong-based didn’t disclose terms of the acquisition of Kerry Salvat Logistics from its former partner Salvat Logistica. The purchase is the lastest in a string of expansion moves made by Kerry Logistics, ranging from new distribution centers to the acquisition of logistics firms.
“A dedicated Spanish division has been set up by Kerry Logistics in Shanghai to support Spanish brands wanting to expand their sales in China,” said Sebastian Bernardo, general manager of Kerry Logistics (Spain).
