Damco hired long-time logistics executive Steve Hoffman as global head for the industrial vertical sector.
Hoffman who comes to Damco with more than 30 years of experience in operations, business development and account management for logistics providers, will be responsible for developing the global strategy for customers within the area of industrial manufacturing.
Prior to joining Damco, Hoffman was with Kuehne + Nagel in a similar role of leading the industrial vertical in North America.
Before that he worked for Panalpina as global leader of automotive vertical.
Hoffman is based out of Itasca, Ill., and reports to global head of strategic sales, Steve Sienkiewicz.
