Sheila Taylor, the former chief financial officer who helped troubled trucking giant YRC Worldwide steer clear of bankruptcy, joined Menlo Worldwide Logistics.
The Con-way logistics subsidiary hired Taylor as senior vice president of finance, responsible for financial reporting systems and processes worldwide. Menlo Worldwide is a $1.4 billion provider of logistics, transportation management and supply chain services on five continents, including North America.
Taylor comes to Menlo from CEVA Logistics, a global freight forwarding, logistics and supply chain management firm, where she was CFO of the Americas. She joined CEVA after leaving YRC Worldwide last March, shortly after YRC reached an financial restructuring agreement with its lenders and the Teamsters union.
At YRC Worldwide, she helped the $4.3 billion group of carriers navigate a grueling financial period that saw the debt-laden company come close to bankruptcy.
Taylor spent nine years at YRC Worldwide and was named CFO in 2009. She worked for Arthur Andersen and Corporate Express before joining YRC in 2002.
