DHL is making a multi-million dollar investment in Australia to boost its forwarding capacity.
An investment of AUD$45.8 million (US$48.2 million) in Sydney by DHL Global Forwarding will pay to combine the company’s two existing Sydney sites into a new, 62,000 sq. ft. custom-built facility in the suburb of Matraville.
The facility, which will incorporate a 10,000 sq. ft. temperature-controlled area, is due to open in March next year
“The new premises will provide for business growth and improved process capabilities which will enhance our productivity in the processing of our air and ocean freight cargo,” said Tony Boll, CEO, DHL Global Forwarding South Pacific.
