Walgreens is upgrading the system that manages material-handling vehicles at more than a dozen distribution centers across the United States.
I.D. Systems, which provides wireless solutions for managing enterprise assets, has received a series of purchase orders from the drugstore chain for its PowerFleet wireless vehicle management system.
The new system will be deployed on hundreds of material-handling vehicles across multiple distribution centers in the U.S. Walgreens originally implemented I.D. Systems’ wireless technology in 2003, the technology firm said.
