MIQ Logistics this week opened a 70-acre logistics center in eastern Pennsylvania, the logistics firm’s eighth distribution facility opening in 12 months.
The Overland Park, Kan.-based company said the facility in Tannersville features multiple building and more than 250 dock doors. MIQ Logistics, a former subsidiary of YRC Worldwide, said it will initially occupy a 150 dock door cross-dock facility.
The reopening of the facility, formerly used by defunct Roadway, a YRC subsidiary, could create up to 160 jobs, regional employment officials told The Ponoco Record. MIQ Logistics is the former YRC Logistics, sold in August 2010 by YRC Worldwide to venture capital firm Austin Ventures for $38.7 million.
