Millard Refrigerated Services Expands Alabama Facility

Millard Refrigerated Services, a refrigerated warehousing and distribution services company, has expanded its distribution center in Attalla, Ala., following the signing of a multiyear contract with a U.S. food manufacturer.

Millard’s construction unit designed and built the new space, which added 110,000 square feet to the facility’s existing 197,000 square feet, for a total of 307,000 square feet. The new space includes 22 truck doors, raising the building’s total number of doors to 51, and there are two new rail doors for a total of 10. A mechanics shop for forklifts and other systems, as well as a conference room, have also been added.
