Hellmann Worldwide Logistics Selects Cargosmart's Private Label Sailing Schedule

SAN JOSE, Calif. — August 24, 2011 — CargoSmart Limited, a leading Software as a Service (SaaS) global shipping and logistics solutions provider, today announced that Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, one of the world’s top logistics service providers, has selected CargoSmart’s Private Label Sailing Schedule to provide access to up-to-date and interactive schedules to its global operations team. The solution allows Hellmann to rapidly deploy ocean carrier schedule functionality and save time looking up over 25 carriers’ schedules from a centralized location. Hellmann’s operations team will rely on CargoSmart’s high quality schedule information to make timely and accurate bookings for its customers.

Hellmann has over 9,000 employees in 211 branch offices in 48 countries. Hellmann’s operations team used to obtain sailing schedules from over 25 ocean carriers’ Web sites, carrier sales representatives, and published schedules. Hellmann wanted to automate its process to save time obtaining accurate carrier schedules and to provide high quality service for its customers.

“We selected CargoSmart’s solutions to deliver the best quality sailing schedule information available to our stakeholders,” said Jens Pottschul, Vice President, Seafreight Asia at Hellmann. “After careful evaluation and visiting CargoSmart’s customer support team in South China, we are confident that we selected the right partner to develop and improve the services we provide to our global customers.”

Hellmann selected CargoSmart’s Private Label Sailing Schedule to consolidate the latest ocean schedules and make them available to its global organization through its internal Web site. The solution’s extensive schedule data and reporting functionality will allow the global operations team to save time looking up and choosing the best available options to share with customers.

CargoSmart engages in stringent data quality management to continuously monitor and improve sailing schedule data quality for its customers. CargoSmart runs automated schedule data validation, reviews reports to identify missing schedule information from carriers, and spot-checks schedules for accuracy. If CargoSmart identifies errors or missing schedule information, CargoSmart’s customer service team works with carriers to correct the data.

“We are honored that Hellmann has selected CargoSmart as a trusted and reliable solutions provider for sailing schedule management,” said Steve Siu, chief executive officer of CargoSmart. “We look forward to working with Hellmann to continuously improve service and data quality to enhance its operations.”
