Blogging Security

Not to be outdone by the Department of Transportation, the Department of Homeland Security now has its own blog.

The Blog @ Homeland Security promises "an inside-out view" of day-to-day activities at the DHS  — and delivers tweets from @DHSJournal as well.

The first entry gives an overview of the department; the second provides detail on a letter of intent to expand bilateral security cooperation with Mexico.

DHS may be a newcomer to blogging, but its Transportation Security Administration has been at it since January 2008. See the aptly named TSA Blog.

And the U.S. Coast Guard is blogging as well — at the Coast Guard Compass.

Now we're just waiting for Customs and Border Protection ...

The DOT blog, BTW, is Fast Lane.
