Florida East Coast Railway Appoints Joel Haka as Chief Operating Officer

Jacksonville, Fla. (Jan. 27, 2011) – Florida East Coast Railway (FEC) has announced that Mr. Joel Haka will join the company as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer effective Feb. 21, 2011.

Haka brings more than 30 years experience in the maritime operations industry to FEC. Most recently he served as senior vice president and chief operating officer of CMA CGM (America) LLC (CCA) in Norfolk, Va., overseeing its North American marine, terminal and inland operations. Prior to that, he worked as senior vice president of corporate operations for P&O Nedlloyd, where he was responsible for terminal operations, intermodal and truck operations.

Haka is a graduate of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, N.Y., and is a retired Commander in the U.S. Naval Reserve.
