Exel Direct Earns Two-Year Contract Renewal With Crate & Barrel
WESTERVILLE, Ohio (April 21, 2009) – Exel Direct, the home and business delivery service and business unit of North American supply chain management leader Exel, recently renewed its contract with Crate & Barrel. Under the terms of the two-year agreement, Exel provides white-glove delivery and set up of home furnishings to Crate & Barrel customers.
The contract focuses on Exel Direct’s dedicated business with the company. The Exel Direct team will manage operations and deliveries out of three facilities — two in California and one in Colorado — to serve customers primarily in the Central and Western portions of the United States. Exel Direct will also provide a two-hour scheduling window to Crate & Barrel customers, in-carton or fully deluxed services, and delivery to the room of choice inside the home.
