Evans Distribution Systems’ Expands With New Switching Operations in Ohio & Wisconsin

MELVINDALE, Mich., July 27, 2010 — Evans Distribution Systems, a full-service third-party logistics provider of warehousing, transportation and value-added solutions, has recently expanded with new operations in Kenosha, Wis., and Twinsburg and Toledo, Ohio.

The company is providing switching and yard management services for an automotive client at several assembly plants. To support this new business, Evans hired 16 employees who will serve as drivers and managers.

The company’s transportation division now supports nine automotive assembly plants throughout the Midwest with switching and yard management. The company also is growing with a separate transportation project in Toledo, which has created an additional seven driver positions.
