Ekol Hosts 30 Scientists From Best Universities Of The World

Ekol Logistics, one of the leading logistics companies in Turkey and in Europe, has sponsored the “Istanbul Supply Chain Thought Leaders Roundtable” that has been organized for 15 years. The meeting was organized in Istanbul this year between 6th and 8th of July in the Hilton Hotel and hosted by Bilkent University.

“Istanbul Supply Chain Thought Leaders Roundtable” was a platform where 30 scientists came together from the most successful universities of the world such as Harvard, Stanford, MIT and Columbia. Representatives from leading companies of Turkey including Eczacibasi, Avea, Limak Holding, Unilever and Turk Telekom were also in the meeting along with university representatives.

Prof. Ihsan Sabuncuoglu, PhD, Head of Industrial Engineering Department of the Engineering Faculty of the Bilkent University spoke in the meeting where the leaders who pioneer world economy were ready. Among the main topics of the conference were future production technologies, pricing methods, new university training and changes in the telecommunication industry. Another point of interest in the conference was how Turkey will construct its supply chain in that structure.

Within the 3 days of the conference, participators had also a chance to get the historical view of Istanbul. Participants had sightseeing around the historical peninsula and tried authentic Ottoman specialties in the famous Feriye Restaurant and also visited RMK Marine Dockyard.
