U.S. Unemployment Claims Decline

US Initial Jobless Claims_10-20-12

Initial jobless claims in the U.S. for the week ending Oct. 20 declined to 369,000, a drop of 23,000 from the week before, the Department of Labor reported. There were 397,000 initial claims in the comparable week in 2011.

The four-week moving average of initial employment claims rose to 368,000 from 366,500.
