U.S. diesel prices hit their lowest point in 20 weeks, falling 1.7 cents in the week ending Jan. 14.
The average price, $3.894, is up four cents from the same period a year ago, according to the Energy Information Administration. Average diesel prices have fallen for the last seven weeks.
Prices fell across the country except in California and New England. The average price of diesel is below $4 per gallon except in the New England and Central Atlantic regions, and in California.
