Former YRC CFO Taylor Joins CEVA

Sheila Taylor, who abruptly left as chief financial officer of trucker YRC Worldwide in March, will join CEVA Logistics in the top financial post of the company’s Americas division.

Taylor will be CFO at the Houston headquarters of the Americas operation for the Netherlands-based logistics operators, CEVA said this week.

She had been with YRC, the country’s largest less-than-truckload carrier, since 2002 and was CFO and executive vice president since October 2009, helping navigate through a grueling financial period that saw the debt-laden company come close to bankruptcy as it restructured loan and stock agreements several times.

She resigned from YRC in March.

“We are very pleased that Sheila is joining our organization,” said Matthew Ryan, CEVA’s president for the Americas. “Her experience as a senior financial executive, coupled with her deep industry experience, makes her a tremendous resource for us.”

CEVA counted $9.8 billion in revenue in 2010, up 25 percent from the year before, and the operator’s $418 million profit on operations was a 25 percent improvement from the year earlier.
