Hong Kong’s Census and Statistics Department today reported the volume of Hong Kong’s total exports of goods in December 2012 jumped 13.9 percent, while the volume of imports of goods fell 11.0 percent.
The monthly prices of exports of goods inched up 0.7 percent, and the prices of imports of goods rose 1.7 percent.
In the fourth quarter of 2012, the volume of total exports of goods increased 4.9 percent and the imports of goods concurrently dropped 4.7 percent.
For the full year of 2012, Hong Kong’s volume of total exports of goods fell marginally by 0.1 percent, whereas the volume of imports of goods increased 1.0 percent. Annual prices of exports increased 3.4 percent, and the prices of imports of goods rose 3.3 percent.
