North American intermodal volume for the week ending Sept. 28 was up 3.4 percent year-over-year, according to the Association of American Railroads. This marked three months of increases, with the most recent week of decline being June 29.

U.S. intermodal volume for the week ending Sept. 7 climbed 6.7 percent year-over-year, according to the Association of American Railroads. This was the tenth straight yearly increase, and the steepest incline since the week of March 2.

U.S. intermodal volume for the week ending Aug. 10 saw a 6.1 percent increase year-over-year , according to the Association of American Railroads. In two weeks, the growth has accelerated by almost 4 percentage points from 2.4 percent growth in the week of July 27.

U.S. intermodal volume for the week ending July 27 grew year-over-year for the fourth consecutive week, totaling 256,379 trailers and containers, according to the Association of American Railroads. The last streak of growth in this lane lasted 12 weeks, prior to a decline in the week of June 29.

Canadian intermodal volume fell 3.3 percent year-over-year in the week ending June 8, following 10 weeks of increases, according to the Association of American Railroads. The two most recent previous weeks showed 20 and 30 percent jumps. Volume also inched down 0.4 percent from the week before to 53,745 trailers and containers.
