CSAV Group takes delivery of the MV “MAULE”

CSAV Group has taken delivery of its new containership vessel “MAULE”, built by CSBC Corporation (Kaohsiung, Taiwan). She is the first of a series of three 6.600 TEU vessels ordered at CSBC all of them equipped with the most advanced technology allowing environmentally friendly operations by significantly reducing power consumption emissions.

Main vessel features to be highlighted are:

Lower fuel oil consumption -- reduced greenhouse emissions
Main engine fitted with electronic fuel injection system for lower fuel oil consumption, enabling operations at optimal combustion efficiency thus reducing generation of exhaust gases

Low load operation
Low load tuning of main engine turbochargers, allowing operations at very low power requirements without limiting the maximum engine power

Routing optimization through the use of advanced meteorological information

State-of-the art technology in communication and navigation systems to optimize voyage plans as well as to secure vessel’s overall safety.

MV “MAULE” will be operated by CSAV Norasia joining the Mare Nostrum Service, covering ports between Asia and the Mediterranean Sea.
